Gallo Legnami S.p.A is made up of two separate storage areas, both or
which are 1 km from the respective highway tollbooths: the 'historical'
one in West Padua covers an expanse of 16,000 m²,
while the principal warehouse located in the industrial area of East Padua
has a storage capability of 29,000 m² of which 15,000
m² in enclosed.
The strategic positioning of the second warehouse is
not only for its easy access to the highway, but also to have a train
line that arrives directly from the inside of the warehouse; this is quite
useful to reduce costs, and above all time of transport of goods by using
train tracks.
From January, 2001 we will put into use a very new 4000 m² shed supplied
with a cantilever storage system, which coupled with
a lateral trolley will allow us to greatly utilise the space available
and secondly to allow for better visibility and rapid natural drying of
the goods.
